Health, as per ayurveda, is balance of all three fundamental states such as physical, mental and spiritual also and their relationship with the outside world, in which panchkarma has great contribution as per ancient ayurvedic literatures like sushruta samhita, ashtang hriday, charak samhita etc.
Classical panchkarma involves five different processes to clean and detox body and mind from internally and externally also, which are:
1. Vaman (kapha/ spring season)
2. Virechan (pitta/ autumn season)
3. Basti ( vat/ rainy season)
4, Nasya
5. Rakta mochhan
Out of which, 3rd I.e. basti is of immense value according to maharishi sushruta and charak.
